All members can send Flirts for free. If you'd like to take it a step further, we suggest sending an email to start up a real conversation.

• Click "Your Profile" in the Profile & Photos drop-down menu
• Click "Edit" next to your username
• Click either Change Email or Change Password

If you don't want other members to know when you've looked at their profile or added them to one of your Hot Lists, go to Show/Hide Profile in Member Services and select "hide" in the section called "Show/Hide When I View Or List Members."

Keep in mind that members who are most active on the site keep their profile visible in all places because it ups their chances of connecting with people. You never know, someone special may be looking for you but never find you if your profile is hidden.

Hot Lists have been a real hit on our sites and have helped bring some unsuspecting couples together! People keep telling us that they'll contact another member simply because he or she looked at their profile. So before you hit "hide," give it a chance to work.

So many times we hear that members contact someone simply because he or she looked at their profile or Hot Listed them. Members also say that their Hot Lists lead them to meet people they might not have seen in a search.

Think about it. If you saw that someone had Hot Listed you and you liked what you saw, wouldn't you be more likely to send an email?

The other half of your Hot Lists tell you about other members with regards to you. Every time someone looks at your profile or contacts you, it shows up in your Hot Lists and the numbers go up accordingly. Keep in mind, however, that some members choose to hide their profile from showing up in your Hot Lists.

Also, in order to keep your Hot Lists up-to-date, we periodically clean out the members that have been in your "viewed" list for a while. This also changes the counter.

Click? is a simple way for us to introduce you to members you think you'd click with and who feel the same about you. It's fun and easy, and everyone can participate. Just look for Click! in members' profiles and tell us what you think by picking y, m or n. When two of you click y, we'll introduce you with a Click! Alert.

Click y and we'll secretly find out if they're also interested in you. If they are, we'll introduce you with a Click! alert.
Click m and we'll ask you again later to see if you've made up your mind.
Click n and we'll know you're not interested. And they'll never know you said no.

Once you've created your own profile, other members can start contacting you. We'll let you know that you have messages by sending a notice to your personal email address. To read the note, simply login to the site and go to Your Inbox in the Messages drop-down menu. If you decide to write back, click Reply, write your own message and send away.

All communications with other members stay onsite so you never have to give out personal information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are, you can exchange phone numbers and even meet in person.

Try to put your best foot forward with at least one photo and snappy, detailed essays. The photo is key since most people feel more comfortable writing to members they can see. Try to stay positive in your essays and let the real you shine.
